About Raphael
Growing up in Cameroon, West Africa, I always dreamed of catching life in the moment.
I would sometimes flip through pages of the National Geographic magazine and be dazzled at how beautiful and real the images therein looked.

Upon my arrival in the U.S. in 1995, I got to read about Henri Cartier-Bresson and in the process, I came across one of his quotes - "Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. So, if you miss the picture, you've missed it. So what?"

Catch life in the moment!

Fast Forward to 2004, after I bought my first digital SLR camera, Canon 20D, I could not resist the urge to start the journey of taking pictures. With a pure and untamed passion for photography, I have and continue to perfect my craft and I am good at it. My photographs represents my passion, my heart, my thoughts and vision and above all the beauty in catching life in the moment… Candids.

Besides photography, I am also passionate about digital publishing and digital media production (directing, producing, shooting, editing, encoding, DVD authoring and multimedia presentations). I continue to grow my knowledge by attending industry conferences (Photoshop World, Technologically Advanced Publishing, NABSHOW Post Production World) and workshops run by leading industry digital content creators.

When not taking pictures, I spend time: with my wife and kids, in the kitchen trying out various recipes, grilling, traveling and volunteering my talents in the community and my church.
